CLAT
Eventually, the much-awaited exams came to an end, much to the chagrin of students across India. On a good note, this year's CLAT test brings a minimum of surprises to the line and much more.
All in all, the CLAT was held today, June 19, 2022, from 2-4 p.m. The first impressions of the test were moderately easy. By comparison, CLAT 2022 was close to the CLAT 2021 test at its difficulty level. With the exception of the English language which was a little longer, all other sections were apparently easy-medium.
Below is a detailed analysis of the test to discuss the individual difficulty levels, categories, timing and best effort for the questions.

| Clat question structure |
Starting with the quantitative strategy, all three questions were cascade (a cascade was like a mockery of the legal side).
No graph-based questions were asked this year. The section broadly covered 2 topics - Proportion and Proportion (one caselet) and Percentage (2 caselets). The calculation involved was not very long and the answers were in integral values. All the cassettes were mostly calculation based where many formulas were not required.
Legal discourses also focus on regularly given topics.
Difficulty level: Easy
Time: 14-15 minutes (4-5 minutes for each question)
Good effort: 15 questions
Coming to logical reasoning, all questions were based on critical reasoning, no analytical reasoning was included this year.
All passages were at the easy-to-medium level. The paragraphs based on the Juvenile Justice Act, and the Covid-19 outbreak, were on the easy side, although none of the passages based on biodiversity and the judges' humor were long.
The questions were mostly relevant.
Difficulty level: Easy
Time: 25-30 minutes
Good effort: 25-30 questions
The English language section seemed a bit longer than the other sections. The department was just ideal. 3 out of 6 were easy to read based on daily acquaintances but the other 3 were slightly technical which means if you are not familiar with the topics they can be a bit complicated to explain. No paragraph was fiction or book extract, everything was non-fiction. Most of the questions were speculative in order to analyze the thinking process of the students. The type of question was central concept question, melody, relevant vocabulary etc.
A general newspaper reader will benefit a lot from this section.
Time: 30-35 minutes
Good effort: 20-25 questions
The current affairs department has been a bit complicated this year. The questions were mainly direct. The questions weren't too difficult at first but the alternatives did all the tricks. Subjects were given in all horizontal lengths. The options were similar and out of the loop. There were also some irrelevant questions.
Passages were built based on drone rules, 2021, science and technology, sea missions, ISRO, etc.
Difficulty level: Moderate (difficult passage with middle question)
Time: 10-12 minutes
Good effort: 25-30 questions
Finally, the legal logic section was quite simple. It was basically on the predictable line. The paragraphs were based on monotheism and dualism, special marriage law, contract law, bigamy and constitution. All the passages were from the main law and the questions were also simple. Leglages mostly discusses and emphasizes such topics and gives thorough lectures on the same subject.
Difficulty level: Easy
Time: 35-40 minutes
Good effort: 33-37 questions
In conclusion, the test was easy and I hope you all did well. Based on this, the overall good effort could be 120-130 questions somewhere and the expected cutoff could be like CLAT 2021. Now that the test is over, don't stress over the results. The answer will come out soon so be patient and prepare thoroughly for AILET and SLAT.
